You squealed with delight as you ran down the sidewalks of England through the rain, not having a care in the world. You were actually HERE. In England! This had been an ambition of yours since you were so young! And after years of hard work and savings, you were HERE! Clapping your hands happily, with your ____ eyes aglow, you danced down the sidewalks, giving a cheerful "Hello!" to everyone that walked by it. A few people shot you concerned glances, maybe because they thought you were insane, maybe because they were concerned for your well-being, seeing as how you were running through the streets in a tee-shirt, jeans, and your favorite, worn-down, shoes.

You were thrilled, having a joyous time! That is-- until you collided into someone, and sent both of you tumbling to the ground. "Bloody hell!" an aggrivated, heavily accented voice swore. Scambling to sit up, you began apologizing profusely, pausing when you stopped to look at him. He looked around the same age as you, and had messy blonde hair that was getting flattened a bit by the pouring rain pounding on it. What interested you most were his eyes. They were an intriguing shade of emerald green that seemed calm enough, but held a lot of fire in them. "Um... Sorry." You managed, once again.

The mystery man was about to go off on another swearing rampage, until he looked at your wide, innocent eyes, and sincere expression. The thought of snapping at you faded, and he shook his head and stood up. "It's quite alright.. Just... Watch where you're running next time, alright?" He told you sternly, yet softly as he held a hand out to you. With a big, childish grin, you took his outstretched hand and stood up. "Thank you~! And I will!" You chirped. Then looked at the now-soaked man up and down. "And sorry I got you all wet.." You apologized sheepishly, holding out his umbrella to him.

With a light chuckle, he took it from your grasp. "I apologize to you as well, you're absolutely soaked." He replied calmly. You giggled joyfully and shook your head. "Oh, that's okay, silly! I've been out here for awhile without an umbrella! Of course I'm soaked!" You giggled, not noticing the incredulous look the man was giving you. Finally finding his voice, he managed to ask, "Why are you--what even--- Are you trying to catch a cold?!"

You let out another delighted laugh and shook your head once more. "Hehehe! Thank you for your concern! But I'll be just fine, Stranger! I haven't had this much fun in ages!" You replied cheerily.

"Arthur. Arthur Kirkland." The man said suddenly.
You stared up at him in confusion. "Huh?"
He chuckled again and told you once more, "Arthur Kirkland. My name."
Your face lit up when you realize what he meant. "Oh! Alright! Arthur Kirkland." You sang, testing the way it sounded. You liked it a lot. It just sounded right. "My name is _____! _____ _______!" You stated gaily. With another light smile, he held out a hand for you to shake. "It's a pleasure to make your aquantince, ______."
You shook his hand and gave him a beamish grin, "Nice to meet you too, Arthur!"

And so began the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

-Insert a time skip of about 5-6 days. Use your imagination on what happened.-

You skipped down the sidewalk merrily, taking joy in feeling the light drizzle of rain against your skin. As always, you had no umbrella. But, a certain new British friend of yours that you were meeting soon did, so you were set either way. Speak of the devil, there he was! "Arthur!" You cried out, running torward him with you arms flailing. You stopped short before him and almost fell until he lightly grabbed your shoulders and helped you balance. "Honestly, _____, you need to be more careful.." He said with a sigh, but nonetheless affectionately patted your head. You giggled and looked up at the Brit. "Silly Arthur, I know! I do try!" you cooed, then added, "usually.." underneath your breath. "But! I know if I fall, you'll always be there to help me back up!" You told him in a matter-of-fact-sing-song voice. Despite the fact you'd only known him for a week, you felt like you were getting closer to the British man. Which both thrilled you and upset you. You were leaving tomorrow, so you wanted to make this special, but Arthur seemed in no mood.
You were snapped out of your thoughts by a snapping sound, and realized Arthur was snapping his fingers in front of your face. "Bloody hell, ____, please, try not to space out for five minutes." He said, sounded exasperated. "I was trying to ask you something.
You blushed and profusely apologized, to which he dismissed with a wave of his hand.
"I'm sorry, Arthur, what were you asking me?" You asked sheepishly.
"I was trying to ask..." He trailed off, then sighed and shifted the umbrella. "Bloody hell... Um.. ____, you like it here in England... right?" He asked finally.
Confused, you nodded. "Yeah! I love it here~! It's really grown on me!" You replied brightly.
"Then.." Arthur shifted again, looking embarrassed. "Then.. Would you.. Would you consider.." He began, then muttered something.
"Um.. Consider.. what?" You questioned. It wasn't unlike the man to get embarrassed, but what could be so embarrassing that he can't even sort his thoughts out?

"I was wondering if you would.." He took a deep breath, and tried once more. "I was wondering if you'd stay here in England with me?!" He shouted. You stared at him, baffled. Stay in England? With Arthur Kirkland? The short-tempered gentleman? Dude. YES.
"You mean.. Stay with you? In the same house?" You asked slowly, trying to confirm your thoughts.
Looking away, the blushing Brit nodded. "I know! It's ridiculous and selfish of me to ask you b---"
"YES!!" You cried out enthusiastically. He stopped rambling. "Wait.. Really?" He asked, baffled.
He was surprised when you threw yourself at him and wrapped your arms around him in an embrace. "Yes yes a thousand times yes~! No, wait! A million-kajillion times yes! Thank you!" You cried out happily.
He smiled softly, and hugged you back. 'No.. Thank you..' He thought.

So began a happier time for the English man.
A time where someone could put a geniuine smile on his face.
Someone who lit up the darker days and make rain seem enjoyable.
All because of you.
